This past week, the North Hall Area Council celebrated the very anticipated April 20th date with a Pot Party! Residents were allowed to adopt their very own plants, and even paint pots during the event. Junior Zach Boyles, a veteran member of RHA said that "this was definitely not what I was expecting, but I ended up having a fantastic time!" Students from many different communities rushed across the street in front of Carroll Hall to see what all the fuss was about, and most sounded like they had a fantastic time!
For Valentine's Day, members of NHAC decided to host a candy gram event, where any students could deliver a valentine (with candy!) to another student living in the NHAC community. The idea was inspired by Sasha Galbreath, who missed the sweet elementary tradition of giving candy valentines to fellow classmates, way back when. Residents were ecstatic over the idea -- because when can you go wrong with free candy, and for a good cause? Not to mention, the candy grams were available for order online, though a googledoc, eliminating the need for RHA members to shift at a table for hours on end. Students were able to fill out the form during the week leading up to Valentine's Day, and on the night before, members of NHAC's RHA taped candy to the students door, delivering happy messages and candy hand in hand! |
